Well, we are 0 for 4 but we are having fun!
- I have gotten a lot of questions about all of the teams we have raced so far allowing "non residents" to swim for their teams. This is allowed per our league, and our HOA has voted unanimously against it every year we have asked. I am happy to expand on the pros and cons of this model for anyone interested, just email me!
- Our next meet is versus a team that is much like ours, so please try to make it, we have a chance to WIN!
- Results are attached, please note DQs and consider lessons to get the strokes legal for the last few meets! Practice is wonderful for endurance, confidence & light technique training but 1:1 works quickly for technique.
- With just 58 athletes of our 84 this evening-- the kids swam their hearts out! Lots of swim ups for relays and we are so proud of all of them.
- Unfortunately we did have quite a few no shows- both swimmers and volunteers. Any volunteers who did not show will not receive credit for their sign up. This puts other parents in a bind, needing to step up last minute when they weren't expecting to or have already fulfilled their 4 slot requirement.
- With just 3 meets left, there are 6 shifts total. 4 is the requirement per family to keep the team running. We appreciate your attention to getting a name on open slots! *Volunteer requirements must be met to be considered for All Stars, which is the top few times per event in each age group based on who is in town to attend. We would love for everyone to be eligible!
- We want to personally thank the following people for filling no show slots or stepping in to help when things were chaotic this evening. Gina Flowers, Laura Tyson, Fabio Nogueria, Angie Van Wynen, Marissa Witz, Brittany Henning, Bill Henning, Hillary Heilig, Amy Lukacs-- and both Kevin and Dina Gaisor who came despite their kids needing to stay home. I am sure I am missing someone but the meet could not have taken place without these last minute step ins.
Thank you,
PD Swim Board
