Great Start to the Season!

Last night’s home meet was a success — and we started the season with a WIN by just 9 points out of over 800!

Meet results are attached. You may notice a few issues:

• We had significant problems with timing. The two watches used must be within 0.3 seconds of each other, but most were off by about a second.
• A few swimmers were in the wrong lanes, names weren’t properly checked, and some times were recorded incorrectly.
• A few times were recorded up to ten seconds off. This impacted several races where we have no way to fix it (these families have been notified)

Because the meet was so close, these details really matter. If you’re timing:

• Please lean over the edge and watch for the swimmer’s hand to hit the wall.
• Start your watch when you see the starter’s light go off.

These are simple things that will get better each meet — thank you for your help!

Scratches and No-Shows:

• We brought 74 out of our 88 swimmers, but 10 more scratched or no-showed last minute.
• We understand that things come up, but please let us know if your swimmer can’t make it. Empty lanes slow down the meet and affect the team.

Thursday’s Meet:

• We’re still missing 20 RSVPs.
• Please log in and mark whether you’re attending or not — entries are due soon!
